Korean Through Music : Rose Part 2

지금은 아름답겠지만

지금-now 은 there is an emphasis on the now to
show things could change later

아름답다- beautiful

special conjugation rule for verbs ending
in ㅂ: ㅂ turns into 우 before vowels so
any 은/을 conjugation.
because it’s a vowel ending it will be 아름다

before 아/어 verb conjugations it would be
우 +어 so 워
아름다워. 맵다-spicy-> 매워. 덥다-hot(weather,)-> 더워. 춥다-cold(weather)->
추워

겠-expresses intention, or expectation of what’s
going to happen, personal interpretation or
assumption of someone else’s feelings or
experiences

Ex: You see someone fall off their bike you
might say “아프겠다” meaning “that must hurt”
or “that’s got to hurt”.

지만-attached to the end of verbs to express the
meaning of but, however. The second clause
will contradict or show opposition to the first
clause. No special conjugation just drop the
dictionary form 다 and add 지만

Translation:

You may think I’m beautiful now but soon
